About Lauren
Lauren Carmae is a business and funding strategist. She is a native Houstonian who loves Broadway, vacays and food! She has been in business since 2019 and started off as a credit consultant. She recently pivoted her business after a lot of her family and friends kept asking business related questions and she realized that she has a knack for helping businesses scale.
THE TOUGHEST EXPERIENCE SHE WENT THROUGH
Lauren says, “My toughest experience was definitely when I had to leave Howard University in 2017. I felt like such a failure and my life around me crumbled in ways I was not ready for. I lost everything. My apartment, dream school, poor credit, and in an unfamiliar city. I felt unprepared for the first time ever. That experience made me realize how strong I was and that God was not done with me. Everything I had known success to be was out of my reach, but now I know that God was preparing my testimony.
WHAT IMPACT AND HOW SHE IMPACT OTHERS
She wants others to know that there is never a period when it comes to your story. Every test and trial is preparation for something greater and that God gives you everything you need to succeed even when it seems all is lost. She wants people to know that she didn't quit. Cried and frustrated?Yes, for Lauren! A lot, but quitting no. She was able to use the limited resources she had to do something extraordinary and change her life. It was not what she imagined it would be but she is grateful for what it is because God's plan was better than she could have ever thought.
What Motivates Her
My fiance is my motivator. I have had the honor to see her grow, win and overcome so much over the twelve years we have known each other. She keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I'm not on anyone's timing but God's and I appreciate that in those hard and depressing times. - Lauren says’
